High School

The John Rex experience, through graduation.

John Rex Polytechnic High School will open with ninth grade in fall 2027 at 615 N. Hudson Avenue. Students will build a strong academic foundation, explore their interests and use what they learn through projects and experiences connected to downtown Oklahoma City.

What could a student discover here?

A student who loves to build could discover engineering. A question about the body could spark an interest in medicine. High school gives young people time to explore those interests, learn from others and discover what they are capable of.

Put learning into practice.

A polytechnic education asks students to use what they learn across subjects. English, mathematics, science, social studies and the arts provide the foundation. Projects give students opportunities to investigate a question, test an idea and explain their work.

A school our community has helped grow.

John Rex opened in 2014 as a MAPS for Kids project, supported by public investment, business leadership and philanthropy. Today, students learn across its elementary, intermediate and junior high campuses in downtown Oklahoma City.

The high school will give families a way to continue that experience through graduation, building on the relationships and learning that have shaped John Rex from the beginning.
